What a party, Tina and I Love the 70's Convention

Well we back home from a nights stay at the Silver Reef Casino. We had a great time and treated ourselves by getting a Suite up on the 6th floor. Let me tell you, it was very big suite with 10 foot ceilings. It had the front room with big screen TV, full bar and half bath, then through the double doors to the large bedroom and another big screen TV, then through another twin pocket doors to the huge tiled bathroom containing a large glass enclosed shower, a huge Jacuzzi bathtub surrounded by nice tile pattern. Twin sinks, off in a corner another door to yet another toilet with a phone!!!

You could say that Tina and I tried to think of a way to but that Bathroom in our bags so we could take it home. We could become accustomed to that style of living.

Kafe 104.3 70's Convention 2009

That's right, Tina and I have gone to this annual event since 2004, and this was the last year for the 70's Theme, Starting next year and new Decade 2010 equals a bump in the theme to the 80's can not wait for it next year.

Every year Tina and I get a room at the Silver Reef so we do not have to drive home. This year we saved up and was able to afford a Suite up on the 6th Floor. Note that this floor can only be reached by card key, no one else can get to the floor, so kool right! :)

Here is pictures of the room and some of the party.

Well it looks like Fall has arrived in Lynden and Whatcom County in general. I just finished sending a brief personal history to my High School best Friend Bruce Woods. this will help him catch up on what has been happening with me. I hope he'll do the same so I can read how his life has been.

My daughters Brandi and Stormy are at each other and I hope they can resolve their issues. Tina and I are excited that the annual 70's party put on by our local radio station Kafe 104.3 fm. We're going to go all out for this year as next year it is changing to the 80's. We try to go every year, it is loads of fun.

well time for bed, night all

It was really nice to be able to just plan say go to "Two Buck Tuesday" at the Local Casino Resturant.

Aaaaah the Life without kids, loving it, just loving it...

Now if I can just get them (my Kids) to get along, I live for the day.

Oh did I say I love my wife, I do really.

Finally reconnecting with Family and Friend.

To the Left is a recent image of one of my very good friends during me High School years. He still lives and works in California followed his father into Investments. His name is Bruce Woods, we had a great time from 1968-71. Going to Friday Night dances and Football games at Canyon Hight in Castro Valley.

Then in April 1971, I enlisted in the Navy and left Castro Valley for four long years, During a short leave after Bootcamp, I
saw Bruce perhaps for the last time face to face. I hope to be able to again one day to shake his hand, meet his wife and kids and have him meet mine. I've thought of him often since the
early 70's til now.

Just this past week I got back in touch with two of my stepsisters the first was Linda pictured here to the right. How she found me was, I finally created a facebook account as my Daugthers Brandi and Stormy had been on facebook and myspace and found my Brothers Troy and Mike, who live in Oregon currently.

So I wanted to also share and get back in touch with Mike and Troy, as we have been astranged for a good many years. I saw this
as an opportunity, so I joined. That is where Linda found me, she also had connected with our other stepsister, Staci who is living in New Jersey, see image a left. Wow, so now we're my sisters anyway are playing catch up. It is great and I'm loving every minute of it.

I'm hoping that this is just the beginning of having my family closer in communication and we can if not meet face to face, we can get together on line.

Love you all,
Bill

At vLast out of the old place . . . .

Well Tina, some good friends and our girls finished it all up early this morning, like around 2am. I was not a participent in this just over the endline effort, as I was all used up earlier in the move. My back could just not take anymore and so I spent time setting up at our new home.

Our granddaugther Samantha ask to spend the night on Thursday and she was pleading on Friday to allow her to stay with us as she loved our new place. More likely our Big screen TV. But sad to say, Tina and I would like to experience what it was like at the beginning of our marriage, when we had no kids, only a little white rabbit. This time without the rabbit.

Sure the Kids can come visit and some times spend the night, but that is as far as it will go. Do not get us wrong, we very much Love our childern. We what them to have the best and to live a fulling life. They can not do that by clinging on to us. Just as Tina and I need our time alone too.

well, enough for now, we're going shopping for egg's, milk and bread, boy what fun. :)

I for one am glad most of my part in the move is finished, with the help of our Chruch Family and my daughters; Brandi and Stormy.

Just had Dinner with close long time friends at the Northwood Casino (Mongolian Grill), yummy. Funny time had by all. Now that Tina and I will be empty nesters, we're looking forward to less drama in our lives or at lest I'm look forward to it.

I dearly, greatly love all my girls, but it seems to me, that girls have more drama growing up than guys do. I for one hope that I have less of it in the coming years. I what to reconnect with my better half.
